This position is responsible for supervising meal service and sanitation of the food service department. Responsible for data entry for the Surequest computer system and meal tickets distribution. The position shares responsibility with the Production Supervisor position for food production, cooks supervision and menu writing. This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and for upholding the mission and standards of the facility. EDUCATION/TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Food Service Management preferred.
Two years of experience in institutional food service required.
Dietary Tech Registry preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Exposed to extreme heat and cold. Must be knowledgeable of, and follow, all safety and infection control procedures for position to prevent injury to self and others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB
Must withstand the pressure and strain of working in close quarters during busy periods, standing for hours at a time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Continuous use of: computer, telephone
Occasional use of: copier/fax, calculator, dish machine, kitchen production equipment
