This position serves as important customer service representative for the residents and family members of Tabitha Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The Beauty Salon Operator will provide hair and beauty services to the residents of the Nursing Center.Services will be provided in a professional and sensitive manner that promotes the self-esteem and dignity of all clients. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and upholding the mission and standards of the facility. Current State of Nebraska Cosmetology license, in good standing.
EDUCATION/TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Graduate of approved cosmetology school, required.
Experience in elder hair and beauty services, preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB
-Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
-Must be able to walk long distances in the building.
-Must be able to push wheelchairs.
-Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position.
-Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
-Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, family members, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies.
-Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a medical and physical examination.
-Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.
-May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
-Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to the resident's blood/body fluids.
-Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
-Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.
-Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
-Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the goals, objectives, policies, procedures, of the department.
