Responsible for repairing and maintaining physical structure including electrical and plumbing fixtures as well as woodwork, floor and ceiling tiles. This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and for upholding the Mission and standards of the facility. Valid Nebraska driver's license and good driving record required.
EDUCATION/TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year of experience in two out of six of the following: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, floor repair, furniture repair, heating/air conditioning repair preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to follow plans and instructions from supervisor, lay out the job and work independently and efficiently with materials and tools.
This position requires scheduled weekend and holiday on-call duties. Can be injured by cuts from sharp tools and burns from hot pipes or from soldering equipment as well as burns from chemicals. Must be knowledgeable of, and follow, all safety procedures for position in order to prevent injury to self and others
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB
Physical stamina is required because sometimes work is done in uncomfortable or cramped positions. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Occasional use of: snowblower, Truck
