This position is responsible for providing transportation for clients, making pickups and deliveries of materials, supplies, and equipment and ensuring vehicle is in good operating condition.

Demonstrates commitment to Tabitha’s Crew Code of Conduct.
Drives the Tabitha van to transport residents.
Assists Residents into and out of van and buildings, securing residents’ wheelchairs and walkers in van to stabilize them during trips.
Makes deliveries, deposits and pickups as assigned.
Coordinates with the communications operator in following established van schedule.
Monitors the schedule and need and/or performs routine cleaning and maintenance of van.
Maintains a positive outlook toward employer and work responsibilities.
Dresses and conducts self in an appropriate manner according to established procedures.
Maintains knowledge of and adheres to established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Adapts to a changing work load and work environment.
Represents Tabitha and the department in a positive manner by demonstrating knowledge and support of policies and procedures.

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by supervisor.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION
Valid Nebraska Driver's license, state required minimum automobile insurance coverage and good driving record required.
Current Healthcare Provider or BLS CPR/AED certification required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in driving vans or delivery vehicle preferred.
Experience in working with elderly/handicapped preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A friendly and cordial attitude and patience in working with the elderly and impaired is necessary. Defensive driving skills are a requirement.
Out of doors in all types of conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB
This position requires physical stamina to assist residents in and out of van as well as lifting wheelchairs/walkers into van. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
