Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This position serves as one of the Telecommunications Operator and is responsible for performing mailroom duties on an as needed basis. This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and for upholding the mission and standards of the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Serves as one of the Telecommunications Operator answering a face-paced multi-call system in a professional and accurate manner.
  2. Assist with other Tabitha department’s special projects as directed by Telecommunications Supervisor.
  3. Maintains a positive outlook toward employer, coworkers and work responsibilities.
  4. Represents Tabitha in appropriate dress, and conducts self in a professional manner when dealing with the public, staff, and residents of Tabitha according to established procedures.
  5. Maintains knowledge of, and adheres to, established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Adapts to a changing work load and work environment on a daily basis.
  7. Participates in organizational and departmental goals and performance improvement activities.
  8. Organizes and prioritizes work to complete responsibilities according to plan within established time frames.
  9. Follows all established safety and infection control policies and procedures and completes all company training effectively by required due dates.
  10. Maintains knowledge of, and adheres to emergency procedures during emergencies, e.g. fire, tornado, bomb threat, black out procedures, and evacuations.
  11. Participates in personal and professional growth by attending in-services/educational workshops and scheduled department meetings.
  12. Demonstrate commitment to Tabitha’s Crew Code of Conduct.
  13. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.


NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to work independently and flexibility for doing several activities at one time.  Ability to work accurately with numbers as required.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Repetitive work along with sitting and standing for long periods of time.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB

Ability required to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

 

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION

Current Nebraska Driver’s License and car insurance.

 

EQUIPMENT OPERATION

Continuous use of:          Tabitha telephone system, intercom system, postage meter machine

Frequent use of:              copier, mobile radio, fax machine
