Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the overall direction and implementation of professional standards, staffing, quality improvement, policies and procedures, utilization review and discharge planning of the Assisted Living Facility (ALF).
  2. Engages and integrates the combined resources of the Clinical System to ensure effective and efficient utilization of TEAMembers, equipment and facilities in the delivery of quality care in the ALF.
  3. Participates in the Strategic Planning Process and monitors implementations and compliance in the Clinical areas.
  4. Responsible for the Patient and Family Satisfaction Survey Programs and ensures appropriate corrections are made where indicated.
  5. Performs regular rounds of the ALF to monitor nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance, morale of employees, and ensure that the needs of Seniors/clients are being addressed. 
  6. Assures the provision of an adequate training program for the ALF TEAMembers including orientation and ongoing in-service training. 
  7. Develops an adequate and efficient staffing pattern for the ALF which can be readily adjusted to meet the needs of the Seniors/clients and assures that there is staff on duty sufficient in number and qualifications to provide the necessary patient care. C
  8. Maintains readiness for and cooperates fully during the survey process and takes immediate, thorough and effective action to correct deficiencies.
  9. Communicates expectations, holds employees accountable, and manages consistently. Contributes to the success of Tabitha employees by coaching, developing, encouraging, nurturing, mentoring, challenging, and setting an example for direct reports. This will include working with TEAMembers on correcting performance deficiencies, policy violations, or any other area of concern.

Qualifications

COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language as well as medical terminology related to the job. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha’s discretion.
AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18.
EDUCATION: Successful completion of a Registered Nurse course of study.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of nursing experiences as an RN required. Two years of supervisory experience as an RN required. Experience as an Administrator or as an Assistant Administrator in a health care service, preferred.
CREDENTIALS: RN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. CPR Required. Assisted Living Facility Administrator’s License – State of Nebraska required or must be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
