Responsibilities

  1. Oversees the daily operations of MDS submissions and reimbursement.
  2. Audits MDS submissions and reimbursements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Continually identifies opportunities for improvement in MDS processes, and tracks PDPM scores to ensure appropriate care is provided to Seniors/clients coding.
  4. Coordinates and manages the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
  5. Assures compliance with all state and federal MDS transmission requirements.
  6. Performs chart analysis to assure that necessary elements are present and complete.
  7. Assist as needed with resident care related activities including but not limited to resident activities of daily living, resident transfers, and other direct resident care tasks as required by the resident and/or clinical teams within the nursing scope of practice.
  8. Uses good judgement, discretion and integrity in the review, research and resolution of problems or complaints in area of expertise.
  9. Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Tabitha.

Qualifications

COMMUNICATION:  Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language as well as terminology and jargon specific to the job. Understands written and verbal instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha’s discretion.       
EDUCATION: Successful completion of a Registered Nurse course of study.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of related experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of Insurance coverage, contracts, and document regulations and requirements preferred.
CREDENTIALS: RN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. Resident Assessment Coordinator – Certified (RAC-CT) preferred. BLS CPR required. Certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the TEAMember. Must meet all Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.
