Overview

Responsibilities

  1. Provides primary and initial contact for all TEAMembers, volunteers, guests and vendors arriving at the Hospice Office.
  2. Provides clerical and technical support for the Hospice teams.
  3. Receives messages, manages incoming calls and routes calls as appropriate.
  4. Receives, processes, and/or distributes incoming mail and assures proper handling of all documents including those of a confidential nature.
  5. Manages onboarding functions timely with clear communication to the new hire and/or hiring manager.
  6. Maintains office and medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.
  7. Further supports the Hospice Team by:
    • Providing scheduling for Hospice visits, utilizing the scheduling software.
    • Assists with maintaining patient’s electronic medical records (scanning of documents, data entry, etc.).
    • Assists with taking and documenting meeting minutes for team meetings, quality meetings, etc.
    • Assists with creating, approving and maintaining schedules and on-call calendars for the Hospice teams.

Qualifications

COMMUNICATION:  Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language as well as terminology and jargon specific to the job. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability and pass a 25 - pound physical exam demonstrating strength and agility prior to employment and at Tabitha’s discretion. 
AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18. 
EDUCATION: Associate degree in business, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience preferred. 
EXPERIENCE: Previous receptionist and/or customer service or call center experience desired. Healthcare industry, specifically Hospice, experience is a strong plus. 
LICENSURE: Valid Nebraska Driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements.
